Overview
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welding and maintenance of agricultural equipment and / or parts.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mechanical maintenance and repair of equipment, utilizing basic Arc welding technique and torch work in the maintenance and repair of equipment as well as fabricating parts and/or equipment as needed.
OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
As assigned from time to time.
EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED: Pick-up truck, forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane, hoist, various hand and power tools, drill press, pipe threader, band saw, bench grinder, welding machine, torch and various gases (oxygen, acetylene, argon, mixed argon). Must have own set of tools.
LICENSES REQUIRED: Class “E” Drivers License (regular )
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma, GED (or equivalent experience), with BASIC level mechanical and welding skills with at least one (1) or more year(s) of experience in the maintenance and repair of agricultural / industrial equipment. Proficiency in Arc welding and torch work. Must be able to read blueprints and equipment repair manuals (including schematics). As well, must be able to work in all positions (overhead, lying, kneeling, reaching and crawling). Must be able to lift 25 pounds up to 60 pounds
