Upfitter/Truck Body Installer

We are looking for a full-time installer to add to our team. We are a producer of the finest quality forestry trucks in North Carolina with a branch in Knoxville, TN. Our customers come to Versalift Forestry for the personal level of service and commitment to quality that can’t be found elsewhere. We are a dedicated team, committed to collectively producing and delivering a top-quality product that our customers can depend on. We are not another assembly line production plant, our technicians take ownership of their projects and build the trucks from beginning to end. Sure, there are a few steps along the way that require extra hands, but our family mindset ensures you always have the support you need. Some of the things our installers are tasked with:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install PTO or Clutch Pump for Hydraulics
  • Install the truck body and/or equipment onto the chassis
  • Installs all wiring and electrical units on the chassis
  • Installs accessories and aftermarket products.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work area
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Two years of mechanic and/or installer experience in manufacturing;
  • Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components;
  • Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools;
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, diagrams, etc.;
  • A problem-solving ability;
  • Adapt with ease to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • The ability to frequently lift and carry items up to 50 pounds;
  • Must pay attention to detail, be service oriented, and have an excellent work ethic.
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.

  • Inside/outside work environment
  • Frequent use of hands.
  • Frequent changing of positions including laying, kneeling, standing, and climbing.
  • Consistent lifting & carrying of heavy objects

Job Type: Full-time / Monday – Friday

Salary: $16.00 to $20.00/hour (depending on experience)
