Employees will start out working on an assembly line, learning the products that the company makes. This might involve doing simple mechanical assembly. As they become proficient in certain processes along the line, they will cross train. They will also work in grinding, where they will actually hold a hand grinder and smooth out rough edges, or polish the metal to a nice finish. They may cross train in basic fabrication, cutting sheets of metal to length, which would require the use of a tape measure. If they have the aptitude or previous experience, they may do a little spot welding, which holds the sheet metal in place, while they do the assembly. They may have the opportunity to cross train into MIG welding, but no employee welds full time, so you will need to understand that rotating around the production line is the job.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

-1+ year experience working something mechanical and/or in manufacturing -Strong desire to advance one’s career within fabrication and welding -Candidates could come from sheet metal fab, automotive or lube technicians, construction, concrete, former mill

**Work Environment**

Very clean environment. Extremely large company, they have three separate buildings in Anoka. The building is NOT air conditioned, so this is something that people need to be locked down on. They are working on an assembly line, and they run some production.

**Performance Expectations**

Candidate must come in and have comfort from day one doing the assembly side of things, being mechanically inclined. They must also have no fear jumping in to grinding out the welds, and polishing the steel. If they have some sheet metal experience to do some basic machine operation like spot welding, even better.

1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts


.50 raise at 90 days with good performance and attendance, and another raise at 6 months
