The College of New Caledonia requires an instructor to teach in our Metal Fabrication program.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Metal Fabricator Certification is required
  • Five years experience working as a Journeyperson Metal Fabricator in a number of industrial settings
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who are current in the trade, with an Interprovincial Trades Qualification and who have proven teaching and/or supervisory experience
  • Ability to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis
  • Completion of the Provincial Instructor’s Diploma Program (PIDP) would be considered an asset

You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues

You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.

Hiring criteria shall include professional qualifications, professional experience, teaching experience, college contributions, community awareness and personal attributes so far as they are applicable to the job classification in question.
