Welder and Manufacturer

Currently looking for someone skilled in MIG welding and fabrication. The right person will have a good skill set in various areas of steel fabrication and installation of parts and equipment set up.

We manufacture products for the High Voltage Utility industry. The position requires knowledge of the proper use of various types of equipment such as MIG welders,

Hydraulic and Pneumatic light and heavy punch presses, chop saws, drill presses, hydraulic shearing equipment etc. The right applicant will have knowledge of laying out and forming of parts as well as installation of those parts.

Duties and Responsibilities may also include:

Performing Assembly and/or Sub-Assembly work in a production environment

Welding steel of varying types and thicknesses

Performing finishing work, such as grinding

Performing spot welding

Performing general labour

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally)

Ability to work closely with others in a production flow environment

Education/Training

Fork-Lift Ticket Required

Welding experience required…

Welder Trade Certification preferred / C-ticket or higher an asset

High school or equivalent education

First Aid Level 1 an asset

Manufacturing/Assembly experience required

We offer a clean and friendly working environment with benefits and RRSP plan after probation period. Coveralls, welding clothing and boot allowance is also offered after probation period.

Starting wage is $25 – $30/hr. with room to grow for the right person.

Hours of operation 7:00 – 3:30 pm Mon – Fri…NO Weekends.
