Job Summary
This position will be reporting to the Metals Foreman. The ideal candidate would have experience operating a Schechtl bending machine and working experience with aluminum sheet metal.

Role Responsibilities
Work in Flynn’s Architectural Metals team to produce custom materials used on buildings across Canada and the US
Read shop drawings accurately to produce material according to specifications
Work with various materials, but mainly aluminum sheet metal and extrusions
Operate a Schechtl bending machine
Operate a shear
Perform inspections on finished products to ensure products produced meet quality standards
Work with a team of individuals to build products that help build North American skylines
Lift sheet metal panels up to 50lbs
Qualifications
Show interest and willingly strive to learn new skills, take on new assignments as the workload dictates
Ability to confidently read and interpret drawings machine setup.
Experience working with a sheet metal bending machine, ideally a Schechtl bending as well as shears
Experience working with aluminum sheet metal or flashing
Experience using various hand tools (Drills, rivet guns, grinders, etc)
Able to use precision measuring
Ability to focus on agreed-upon priorities, pay attention to detail that ensures high levels of quality. Ensure productivity and on-time completion.
Ability to read a Tape Measure to 1/16th ” or 1 mm
Ability to confidently read and interpret drawings, program basic equipment, operate machines efficiently and provide continuous quality checks along the process
