Copper Core Ltd. is a Canadian owned designer and manufacturer of heat exchange products since 1978. Our products include radiators, air charge coolers, and oil and gas coolers for a variety of markets including: petroleum, mining, forestry, construction, agriculture, power generation, and transportation industries. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts pre-shift inspection of the equipment such as Press Brake Machine, Crane, etc.
  • Reports deficiencies to the production supervisor.
  • Reads specifications or follow instructions.
  • Layout, set ups and operates press brake, and other metalworking machines such as; shears, power presses, saws, drills, computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment, and other hand tools to cut, bend, ream, punch and drill, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
  • Loads program from networking into machine.
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
  • Operates equipment in a safe manner.
  • Maintains daily production requirements and ensures quality of products by checking for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and perform corrective action or minor repairs.
  • May select and transport metal to work area manually or using crane or hoist.
  • Assigns part number to a finished product and stores in designated area.
  • Removes scrap and stores in an appropriate bin.
  • Cleans and/or lubricate equipment as required.
  • Prepares production reports as required.
  • Recommends measures to improve productivity and product quality to the supervisor.
  • Adheres to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Operates equipment with minimum of supervision.
  • Requires to cross-train.
  • Any other duties as required by management from time to time.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge, training or experience setting up equipment and controls in manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret blue prints and shop drawings.
  • Computer – knowledge of numerical control equipment.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Communication skills (English – written and verbal).
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to identify part numbers and types of material.
  • Ability to operate lifting devices (crane, hoist or forklift – safety certificate).
  • Physically fit.
  • WHMIS.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Policies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $24.00 per hour
