Overview

The operator is responsible for handling metal cutting and bending operations. The operator uses various hand tools and presses to create, shape and customize metal components.

D*uties and responsibilities*

The primary job duties and responsibilities are as follows. These duties are can change during peak season and off season

Perform typical operations to produce materials according to specifications and on schedule.

  • Inspect the materials produced for quality and conformity; correct any inconsistencies.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Here are the qualifications required to successfully perform the job. Qualifications include:

Exemplary quality control is required for the position as the material produced forms the foundation of the finished product.

  • Must be able to read gauges, tape measure and other measurement tools.
  • Manufacturing related experience as a machine operator is a plus.
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Forklift certification is an asset but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
