Supreme Steel iscurrently looking for quality driven, experienced Journeyperson Metal Fabricators (Structural Steel Plate Fitters) and Apprentice Metal Fabricators to join our production teamat our facility in Acheson, AB. These are full time unionized positions for both day and night shift. The Structural Steel & Plate Fitters are responsible for the layout, assembly and fitting of steel sections and plate to complete assemblies using tack welding, bolting and other methods. Successful candidates for these positions must be conscientious, capable of interpreting all types of drawings with minimum supervision and promote a safe work environment.

Preferred Metal Fabricator candidates will possess the following attributes:

· Extensive structural steel fitting experience

· Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to safety procedures

· Ability to read and interpret drawings

· Ability to operate shop tools, grinders, drills, oxy fuel cutting torch

· Ability to take direction and perform with minimum supervision

· Metal Fabricator (Structural Steel Plate Fitter ) Journeyperson / Red Seal Certificate preferred

· CWB certification considered an asset

With a proven ability to fabricate the types of work that are appropriate for their Apprentice level, the successful Apprentice Metal Fabricator candidates will also possess the following attributes:

· Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to safety procedures

· Ability to read and interpret drawings

· CWB certification considered an asset

· Participation in the AIT Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship program is required
