Overview

We build and install amazing visual projects for high profile clients (e.g., Lululemon, Arc’teryx, Browns Restaurants, etc.). Our specialities are custom architectural signs, metal fabrication, illuminated signs and interactive environments – everything we do is custom and no two projects are the same.
Our highly-talented team can handle all types of projects from concept to completion – check out our website (www.tdhxfab.com) or instagram (@tdhxfab) for a lot of cool stuff that we have done.

As our Fabricator, you will be a key member of our growing business. Specifically, we will look to you for:

  • Reviewing shop drawings and fabricating projects per these drawings
  • Working with various materials including metal, plastic and wood – common tasks include welding, metal bending / forming, riveting, fastening, etc.
  • Managing / overseeing your assigned jobs, calculating material needs and working within the planned schedule / budget
  • Advising our sales / estimation team on materials, build methods and hours required to complete a project
  • Communicating effectively with other team members
  • Providing insight when we are working on a complex problem or design

About you:

  • You are creative, innovative, precise (meticulous about little details), genuinely happy and caring
  • You are organized, work independently, and able to juggle multiple projects over the course of a week
  • You are a skilled welder and metal fabricator
  • You are able to adapt and find creative solutions to problems (e.g., we take on difficult projects and often run into issues that require problem solving)
  • You are willing to admit when you have made a mistake (consulting with and learning from team members is key!)
  • Applicable welding tickets are an asset (e.g., CWB)
  • Experience with plastic fabrication (e.g., acrylic, lexan, polycarbonate), wood fabrication and low-voltage electrical wiring (e.g., wiring up a light) is an asset
  • Sign installation experience preferred

What we offer you:

  • Advice and mentorship from our talented team
  • Competitive base pay and incentives
  • Company contribution to health benefits plan
  • Paid company events (in the recent past, we have gone white water rafting, go-karting, movies, meals out, etc.)
  • After-hours access to our fabrication facilities for personal projects (after appropriate training)

In your application, please include a resume and a few sentences stating why you are excited to work on fabricating signs, displays and industrial art. Please also briefly tell us about something cool that you have fabricated!
