Manager, Hub Implementation

The Wireline Implementation team has an exciting opportunity for you if you are striving to work in a motivating, dynamic environment as a Cable Implementation Manager accountable for HUB Implementation. Reporting the Director, Cable Implementation, we are looking for a responsible and passionate team member who will administer, organize, and manage multiple Implementation deliverables. Accountabilities include:
Accountable for departmental team building, process alignment, coaching of employees, conducting performance reviews, training and succession planning.

Lead a highly skilled technical workforce with engineering, planning, implementation and project management skills.

Develop strong, positive cross organization relationships with internal and external collaborators

Accountable for successful planning and implementation of Wireline Access related projects (Node builds, capacity upgrades, new technology introduction) in the Ontario West area (Simcoe, York, Durham and Ottawa)

Accountable for successful implementation of Core, Transport and EBU projects in the Ontario West area.

Accountable for maintaining current records and As-built documentation for the Headend portion of the Wireline Access Network

Accountable for achieving overall departmental deliverables and goals, including Operational costs, ongoing project forecasting, and budgeting

Remain current with the latest company and industry technologies, policies and standards.

Adhere to all applicable Health and Safety regulations, in accordance with legislation and related Company policy.

Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Electronics or Telecommunications or equivalent industry experience

Related experience – Telecom Service Provider or Cable Operator in Network Engineering (5-10 years)

Knowledge of CATV inside plant design and construction practices.

Understanding of digital, fibre and other network transport technology and systems.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, prioritizing and relationship building skills.

Commitment to quality performance and teamwork across multiple disciplines

Detail oriented with an aptitude for tracking progress across many disciplines and capable of balancing the “big picture” with meeting the day-to-day needs of the organization.

Demonstrated leadership skills in strategy, planning, coaching and mentoring.

Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work streams.

Understanding of Rogers overall strategic direction, business operations and products.
