We design, program-manage, fabricate, source, retro-fit, repair/service, and breakdown/recycle all types of packaging – metal, plastic, foam, bags, bulk/standard bins and a variety of custom dunnage. Position Summary
The Production Welder/General Labourer position responsibilities include, but is not limited to production welding, service & repair welding, and fabricating metal structures using jigs/fixtures in a fast-paced production environment. The use of various hand tools, machinery and equipment will be required to manufacture metal products.
Responsibilities
- Fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures in a high paced production environment
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as MIG or plasma arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as metal straightening and bending machines
- Perform random maintenance on returned products to be refurbished or re-worked to customer specifications
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and PakFab policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 3+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Preferably possess a valid driver’s license
- Strong knowledge and skill in operating metalworking machinery
- Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Able to effectively communicate verbally

- Aylmer, ON N5H 3H3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- MIG welding: 3 years (preferred)
Shift availability:
