We are currently seeking an experienced TIG/MIG and Stick Welder Specialist with Field Experience, Metal Fabricator in Tampa to perform welding and fabricating duties in accordance to company standards. We are looking for someone with TIG/MIG and Stick welding experience. The Welder, Metal Fabricator position is a permanent position. TIG/MIG and Stick Welder Specialist – Sheet Metal Fabricator – We specialize in light gauge materials TIG experience is a MUST. Job Responsibilities As a TIG/MIG Welder Specialist, you will operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding. You will be responsible for welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. In this role you will also lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. The welder will also be responsible for examining work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. *Ability to weld beams and frames made from thin metal. * Read and understand schematics and understanding minimal blueprints *Build jigs for frames and adjust beam jig as needed. *Change gas bottles and set up welders *Weld specialty items. (Custom Fencing, Ornamental, Handrails, Guardrails, Structural, Custom Sheet Metals, Metal Buildings, Erecting, Repair) Additional responsibilities for the MIG/TIG Welder Specialist will include: *Welding stainless custom polish work. “Required Knowledge” *In shop full fabrication experience (shear, press brake, iron worker, torch welder etc.) *Maintaining a clean welding environment *Ability working with all metal (Materials, Metals, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Copper, Carbon Steels) Job Requirements As a MIG Welder Specialist, you must have at least 2 years TIG/MIG welding experience. You must be able to read blue prints, operate a press brake, shear, have working knowledge of stainless steel welding, sheet metal layout, hydraulics and knowledge of equipment and fabrication.
Additional requirements for the TIG/MIG Welder Specialist will include: *Will be required to pass a welding test *A strong work ethic and ability to work independently. *A Valid Drivers License * Welder Certifications strongly preferred, may not be required if equivalence work experience. Ability to read, speak and understand English and Must be in Tampa or surrounding area.
