MIG Welder

Job Summary & Requirements

  • Must have MIG welding experience (18 GA to 3/16”)
  • Must be able to do basic conversions from metric/imperial, fractions to decimals
  • Must have experience with a tape measure, calipers, protractors, squares
  • Must be able to take direction from the area lead and management as needed
  • Must be able to communicate and work well in a team environment as well as work independently, as required Manual material handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Must have good attendance and be punctual
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Experience welding stainless & galvanized steel would be an asset
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints would be an asset
  • Experience with forklift or reach would be an asset 1-2 years of experience would be an asset
  • Testing – We will be testing light gauge to light gauge joint / butt and also light gauge to heavy gauge test plate
  • Previous experience including skills and ability to perform the work will be an asset.
  • Position is subject to shift rotation. (An afternoon shift premium will be paid at $0.70 cents an hour for each hour worked, when required)
  • Our schedule is Monday to Thursday 10 hrs/day – 6:00am – 4:30pm

Hourly Wage: $21.09

($21.79/hr for afternoon shift 4:30pm-3:00am)

Required experience:

  • 2-3 years welding experience or will consider a recent graduate from a certified Welding Program
