GForce Custom Fabrication & Installation is in search of a dynamic person to join our team. GForce has an immediate opportunity for a seasoned Millwright/Fabricator/Fitter or Welder Apprentice to join our In-Shop Team located in St. Clements, Ontario.

Working under the guidance of experienced team members, the Apprentice will learn to and develop the ability to fabricate, fit, join, and repair metal systems and equipment.

As a qualified candidate your skills and duties will include:

Follow direction as provided by Shop Manager and/or Shop Foreman.

Set up and use brake press, sheer, plate roller and saws.

Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.

Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery including sharpening and maintaining machine tools.

Assemble equipment using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

Work with team members and assist in the fabrication of designed multi-component equipment as per customer requirements and design specifications.

Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area.

Document maintenance actions as requested by supervisor.

Works effectively and efficiently with team members towards project deadlines, Health and Safety protocols and team meetings.

Maintain a positive attitude while working independently and with team members towards project deadlines.

Familiarity with GForce Safety Manual and commitment to safety, in addition to OSHA Guidelines and First Aid procedures and reporting requirements, to ensure a safe working environment.

As an Apprentice your skills and qualifications for this position will include:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma

Commencing or actively pursuing Millwright/Fabricator/Welder Apprenticeship with 1 to 3 years experience

SMAW (stick) and TIG welding experience and/or working towards welding tickets

Ability to learn to read fabrication drawings

Valid Driver’s licence
