Hope Power & Industrial Inc. is a specialty manpower resource provider to contractors, industrial facilities and power generation plants: No travel allowance or per diem offered.

We have immediate need to fill an important welder millwright positions with an ideal candidate with the following skills and experience to perform flux core carbon and stainless welding on hydroelectric turbine stay vanes.

Stainless Structural FCAW Welder : Location; Rowe, MA

Must have:

* Heavy machinery Millwright rigger experience.

  • Flux Core Certified Structural Welder
  • Performs welding duties using wire welding FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding),). Minimum 3-5 years welding experience.
  • Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions. Welds range from simple tacks to complex welds, performed in varying positions.
  • Operates and/or uses related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, and tape measure,

Reads, understands, and follows job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.

  • Maintains level of work performance in accordance with standards and/or job order specifications.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Keep work area clean and clean up after project completion or end of shift as appropriate.
  • Must have current or pass a FCAW welding test .
  • Ability to work standing on a variety of surfaces including steel decks and concrete for 8-12 hours per day.

Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Perform work in power plant heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, and humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gasses, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, and vibration, and involves climbing ladders and stairs, using pneumatic tools, working in cramped quarters, and working with moving machinery.
  • Employee provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for this position, including safety boots with metatarsal guards, face shield, welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket (leather or cloth), and welding apron/chaps. Employer provides initial set of PPE: Hard Hat – Safety Glasses – Ear Protection

Lifting 75 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 75 pounds

  • Must meet all OSHA regulation.
