Mobile Welder/Fabricator/ Industrial Mechanic
Part-time (Temp) to Permanent Full-Time position.

3 months mandatory probation period.

Arc Welding experience required. Most jobsites will be outside working in all types of weather and very little inside work.

Applicants will be expected to participate in a working interview at shop location.

Location: Cambridge and Surrounding Areas

Compensation: starting salary is $25.00/hr. Pay is dependent on skill level.

Direct Deposit pay Bi-weekly.

Monday to Friday 6 AM to 6PM (start and end times may vary depending on job requirements)

– Weekend and Overtime work available

– Overtime after 44 hours/week

Day By Day Services is working in a well- established Industry that makes custom product, repairs, maintains and troubleshoots aggregate processing equipment. We have been experiencing growth lately and are looking to bring on an additional Welder/Fitter that can help meet our current demands as well as grow into producing more of our custom services.

As a new employee with Day By Day Services, you will enjoy working in a smaller group while collaborating with customers and team members in order to complete a project from beginning to end. Our working environments are relaxed with a company where everyone knows and depends on each other.

What you can expect:

– Arc Welding steel is mandatory prerequisite

-MIG welding occasionally

– Interpret drawings and diagrams on orders to determine the material layout and dimension requirements;

– Follow procedures to produce and efficiently make quality repairs;

– Accurate fitting, layout and welding required;

– Daily reporting of material usage and labour for all work;

– Appropriate maintenance and upkeep of job-related equipment and trucks;

– Ensure company’s and customer safety policies and procedures are always followed;

– Repairing conveyors, crushers, screens and heavy equipment;

– Repairing buckets, bins and other industrial products;

– Driving company trucks/ equipment to job sites

– Arc Welding old/rusty steel in all positions

Job Requirements

– Minimum 1 year experience with welding, cutting, previous CWB certification is an asset;

– Clean driving record;

– 3 to 5 years driving ¾ ton truck/trailer is an asset;

– Strong work ethic and positive team attitude, willingness to learn;

– Able to work well independently, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment;

– Able to work well in ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, wind, snow, cold and hot temperatures;

– Positive person that is approachable with strong communication skills and excellent team player;

– Able to maintain a commitment to safety always; –
