Overview

-Bed castings together, ensuring that all pieces fit together within specifications and that the frame is straight.

-Clean castings using hand tools, ensuring that all casting features are left intact and that casting achieves a smooth surface finish.

-Deburr the mould after machining using a hand grinder.

-Tools are assembled according to customer standard drawings which the employee must consult while assembling.

-Seal the tool with plastic and clean the seal using hand tools. Perform blue seal test.

-Sandblast tool to ensure customer-specified surface finish.

-Finish the tool ensuring all holes or imperfections both on the casting and on the seal are patched. Perform all final touch ups on paint and perform self-inspection. Contact inspector to perform inspection.

-Some machining duties are assigned to skilled employees

-Welding duties are assigned to employees with welding experience and/or training

-Produce and deliver quality products and services on time, every time, right the first time

-Become familiar with The AWC Company Quality Management System, all customer standards, and be prepared to work within all policies and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge

· forklift operation

· welding skills

Uniforms and benefits are paid for after 3 months. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week.
