What you will do:
· Read, follow, and translate blueprints, fabrication drawings, specifications and other instructions.
· Weld, fabricate and fit pressure vessels and piping parts with proper equipment while meeting compliancy with industry standard ASME codes, Company’s Welding Procedure Specifications and Quality Control Manual
· Monitor, record and report any discrepancies and issues with parts including but not limited to malfunctions or defects to the Supervisor.
· Maintain a high standard of workmanship with high-level quality and accuracy.
· work safely and maintaining safety in all areas of the organization.
· Performs all other duties as required in a safe manner as per Supervisor instructions.
Qualifications:
· 5+ year experience in oil & gas field service, or related industries
· Ability to work independently.
· Collaboration with operation team / QC Department
· Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and standards
· Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority.
· Valid CWB certification for structural steel is considered an asset.
· Journeyman or equivalent
· Possession of B Pressure Welding Ticket
· Excellent communication skills – reading, understanding and interpreting.
· Proven ability to weld by operating equipment using expected industry processes such as SMAW, SAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW
