JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for welding on pipe for gas compressors using ASME Code – Fluxcore, MIG, and TIG- on Stainless steel. 1/2 to 2 inch Pipe. Using Pin Wheel Xray 6G Pipe, Tubing, Pipe Spoil, Sockets, Elbows, Small Vessels on Skids

This job is roughly 60% of the welding will be MIG/Flux on pipe and 40% of the welding is TIG.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
must be able to read and understand blueprint

must have experience in pipe, TIG and flux welding

some experience with stainless steel welding (highly preferred but not required)

no certs required, just relevant experience and passing a weld test

BENEFITS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
PAY: $20/hour

Shift: Weekend Night shift. 3pm – 3am, Fri-Sun (work 36 hours and get paid for 40!)

4 months contract-to-hire. Long-term position

A raise and full benefits once becoming perm

AC CONTROLLED FACILITY.

MUST PASS WELD TEST!

WELD TEST INFO:
There will be two parts to the test:
Will be taking 2 tests

1st Part:
¾” sch. 80 316L pipe, rolled in a positioner, GTAW (tig) all the way out.

2nd Part:
8″ sch 40 316L pipe test, rolled in a positioner (pinwheel), GMAW (mig) root and FCAW (fluxcore) fill/cap.
