We are currently seeking East Texas Welders who are experienced at: layouts, fits, welds fabricated cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, pressure vessel tanks, and building bridge parts. We are not offering relocation with this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Selects equipment, plans layouts, assembles, and welds.
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
  • Tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Sets ups equipment, rolls, and welds parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
  • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Repairs products by dismantling, gouging, using a cutting torch and reweld to re-assemble parts.
  • Maintains assigned welding machine.
  • Miscellaneous duties as requested.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be able to pass a welding test, including:

2” XXH (SCHEDULE DOUBLE EXTRA HEAVY)

1” PLATE TEST, MIG ROOT DOWNHILL, FLUX CORE UPHILL

7018 FILL AND CAP

Lay out and Fit up test

Preferred – SUBARC

Preferred -6G PIPE TEST, 5P STICK ROOT,

Preferred -STAINLESS STEEL TIG TEST

  • Experience with layouts, fits, and forged components with assembled structural forms
  • Experience with pressure vessels
  • Experience with engineering drawings and weld maps
  • Experience with bolts, clamps, and tack-welds to secure in position for welding
  • Experience with setting up equipment and welding parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
  • Experience with repairing products by dismantling, gouging, cutting with a torch, and rewelding to re-assembling parts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
