Hours of Work

  • Able to work five days a week, Monday to Thursday nine hours per day, Fridays four hours a day with potential of overtime
  • Must be willing to work extended hours for scheduled shut down, emergency/breakdown work and call in support

Work Environment

  • Heavy industrial plant environment
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment
  • The use of respirator breathing apparatus and standard plant safety equipment will be required
  • The position requires work in a variety of different environments both indoors and outdoors as well as confined spaces
  • Position involves some heavy lifting and working on elevated worksite
  • Requires climbing stairs, ladders and scaffolding to access elevations, able to crouch for periods of time, push, pull, lift and turn while carrying tools, materials, and equipment to various parts of facilities
  • Exposure to noise, temperature and weather extremes

  • Must be able to work as a self directed, motivated team member in a fully integrated manufacturing environment
  • General maintenance of work area

Qualifications

  • 5+ years minimum experience in Fitting
  • Able to read and interpret drawings with minimal errors
  • Able to fit custom products in an effective, accurate manner
  • Promotes and exhibits strong safety practises
  • Have a valid Ontario drivers license
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to follow direction and work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision

Salary: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
