Overview
If you want a dynamic place to work, our company is looking to hire a full-time Certified Pipe Welder/Pipe Fitter within our Commercial Plumbing Division to work at various jobsites in the Tallahassee area. The qualified candidate should possess a valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution, have 1-year experience, and be proficient in the use of specialized machinery for industrial welding. Preference will be given to candidates who have some plumbing experience to include knowledge of the installation of above/below grade plumbing, and the ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
Under the direction of the jobsite superintendent or other designated individual, performs pipe fitting or welding at commercial jobsites. Ability to weld small and large pipe at the jobsite using specialized machinery for industrial welding. Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery, both manual and electric. Operate drilling tools and hand-held tools for mounting supports for any above grade piping horizontal or vertical. Provide supervisor a detailed list of materials needed daily and up to a week in advance.
