E.S. Fox Limited located at the Bruce Power site in Tiverton is seeking qualified Pipe and CWB Welders to join the team.
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
The position will weld for pressure boundary (pipe spools and valves) and structural (supports, frames, structural members, etc.) weldments of a wide variety of materials and applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Weld joints in accordance with ASME and CWB weld procedures under the direction and full oversight of E.S. Fox Limited and Weld Supervision
Welding assignments may vary between primarily carbon or stainless steels using the weld processes and positions listed below
SITE TEST REQUIREMENTS:
Post 3/8″ pipe tig throughout, 2″ XH throughout, 2″ XXH stick throughout with backing
KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Post-secondary education is an asset, whether welding-related or otherwise
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
A minimum of 2 years welding experience is an asset
Experience with the following processes:
All position flux core gas shielded (FCAW) on carbon and stainless steels
All position gas metal arc / mig (GMAW) on carbon and stainless steels
All position shielded metal arc / stick (SMAW) on carbon and stainless steels
All position gas tungsten arc / tig (GTAW) welding on carbon and stainless steels
Experience with other processes listed below would be considered an asset:
Air carbon arc gouging
Oxy fuel cutting processes
Plasma arc cutting processes
Submerged arc welding (SAW) on carbon and stainless steels
1-sided open root all position welding with any of the weld processes and base materials listed above
Small diameter welding (e.g., <3/4" diameter piping or between " to 2-1/2" diameter piping)
Other experience that would be considered an asset:
Weld automation such as burning bugs, booms, gantries, CNC plasma tables, etc.
Reading blueprints
Fitting
Familiarity with ASME and CWB weld procedures
Possession of any active CWB welder performance qualifications for any of the weld processes listed above
