Job Summary:

We are seeking 1 Pipefitter Journeyperson to join our maintenance steady state team on our Norman Wells site located in the Northwest Territories. The successful candidates will be responsible for joining pipe sections and securing them into position by welding, brazing, or soldering in an industrial maintenance environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret ISO-metric drawings
  • Work with other trades to complete job scopes
  • Demonstrates knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings
  • Assembles and installs piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications
  • Performs physically demanding tasks such as cutting openings for pipe while standing for extended periods of time and securing pipe in hard-to-reach areas
  • Perform bolt-up and impacting on large bore piping and pumps
  • Perform rigging tasks, including identifying appropriate lift points
  • Experience operating a Telehandler
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Work will be a combination of indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must have previous pipefitting experience in an industrial setting
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must complete specific online training assigned at time of hire.

Work Conditions:

  • Shift Rotation: 15/13
  • Working 10 hours per day
  • Charter flight from Edmonton provided
  • Camp accommodations provided
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
