ROLE SUMMARY: Journeyman position entails layout, assembly, welding and installation of HVAC equipment and associated piping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembling and installing various Mechanical equipment and components.
  • Installing HVAC Hot Water and Chilled piping systems.
  • Must possess tools of Pipefitting and welding trade
  • Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
  • Assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation
  • Perform cleaning of work area, company tools and equipment when necessary.
  • Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman/Supervisor.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties, which may often change;
  • Able to pass 6-g Pipe weld test and pipefitter exam.
  • Work within Company and OSHA standards;
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure;
  • Evaluate information using measurable standards.
  • GED or High School graduate preferred;
  • Understand English and follow directives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction )
  • Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar;
  • Must use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds; stoop,
  • Must be able to work off ladders/lifts/scaffolds
