Summary / Objective
Marquis Industrial Services is currently recruiting for Stick and Heliarc Welders) with experience in the oil and gas industry.
Essential Functions
Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Marquis Industrial Services safety requirements
Participate in safety pre-job audits (JSA’s) with the work crew to ensure all safety hazards have been identified
Experience working with carbon steel and stainless-steel piping and supports
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and ISO drawings
Accuracy in reading a tape measure, caliper, or other tools of measure to ensure appropriate cutting of the metal
Laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding to create the desired shape or object as defined by ISO drawings
Any other duties as assigned by supervision.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to read ISO drawings
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions
Apply common sense to understand and carryout instructions
Ability to read a tape measure to accurately taking measurements
Work Environment

Working around moving mechanical parts
Working in high precarious places
Exposed to all types of weather conditions – hot /humid/cold/wet
Working around different types of chemicals
Working in high noise areas

Must have the ability to take direction, comprehend instructions and work well with others
Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions
Qualifications
High School Degree or equivalent
Ability to pass Hair Follicle Testing
Acceptable Background
TWIC Card
Successfully complete Formosa Safety Training
At least two (2) years of previous welding experience.
Must be willing to work overtime
Required to wear PPE on job site at all times.
