Journeyman Welder

We are currently looking for a knowledgeable and skilled Welder with the primary responsibility of welding of plant equipment and fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual welding equipment
- Operate flame-cutting equipment
- Operate metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air, AOC)
- Determine weldability of materials
- Select filler rods
- Perform post welding heat treatment
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
Qualifications:
- CWB Certified
- Registered Journeyman or Apprentice Welder
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Must have valid driver license
- 1-2 years of prior welding experience
- Experience working on fleet vehicle or plant equipment is considered an asset, but not required
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime may be required.
Some out-of-town work may be required
