Overview
Redwood Plastics and Rubber is looking to hire a Plastic Hand Fabricator at our manufacturing facility in Langley, BC. The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the Fabrication Supervisor to transform and change plastic materials into custom products for Redwood’s customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quickly and effectively fabricate parts and components
- Train to use table saw, router, manual mill with supervision
- General understanding of blueprints
- Operate forklift to pull and stock materials
- Accurately record times and materials
- Able to follow quality control processes and manufacturing procedures
- Perform machine maintenance
- Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Physically able to perform manual labour
- Experience in a fabrication or warehouse environment
- Credited Forklift license or certification
- Able to read/understand simple drawing instructions/descriptions
- Able to read measuring tools (tape measure/caliper/pi-tape, etc.)
- Excellent eyesight and color vision
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment is an asset
- Able to communicate in English
- Good organization skills
