Redwood Plastics and Rubber, https://www.redwoodplastics.com/, manufactures and distributes many grades of industrial plastic and rubber. We have in-house engineering and fabrication to produce custom components that often replace steel, aluminum, and wood for longer wear life, decreased downtime, increased production, lighter weight, cost-effectiveness and increased safety.
About the Job:
We are growing and hiring 2 Plastics Fabricators to operate machines, measure, cut, shape, fit and assemble plastics materials to produce our products.
Responsibilities include:
Use precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and related documentation.
Layout cut material to size, using shears, knives, cutters, scissors, router, or saw.
Mix ingredients, like resins, catalysts, and colors, according to formulas, manually or using a mixer.
Set up and operate forming machines and presses and operate oven to cure parts.
Verify dimensions using precision instruments like micrometers, and calipers.
Finish parts to specifications.
Other duties as required.
Shift: Day Shift: Monday through Thursday: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Skills and Experience
Some experience in a manufacturing facility operating machinery.
Experience with hand, power, and measuring tools.
Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds.
