Overview
Due to company expansion we are on the lookout for an experienced Plater/Fabricator to join our ranks, based at our head office/workshop near Helensburgh. Our contracts are mainly regional but can be Scotland wide – in the Defence, Oil and Gas and Construction sectors. The work will be both workshop based and on site
Our ideal candidate will have a strong Plating/Fabrication background with knowledge of Mild (mostly), Stainless and Aluminium Fabrications as well as Pipeline Fabrication, Installation and Repairs.
Given the variation of works undertaken, a high level of flexibility will be required
You should be a hard worker, able to work on your own initiative with the ability to read and understand fabrication and technical/engineering drawings
Experience of Burning, PLASMA Cutting, Tack Welding, Disc Cutting, Forming as well as experience using other general fabrication tools and equipment would be expected
Given the nature of the sites we work on, SC Clearance would be required therefor the candidate must be a UK national. Being relatively local (from within 1 Hr or so) to our workplace would also be preferred
