We are currently seeking qualified Plumbers (Helper through Master), Sheet Metal Mechanics (Jr. to Sr. Level) and Pipe Fitters/ Welders.

Plumbers

Position Summary

As a plumber, you will support commercial construction projects by installing and/or servicing plumbing systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough-ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as, healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others.

· Install hangers and supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation for water, gas, compressed air, medical gas, or other liquids.

· Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications required for each job site to accurately install systems.

· Installation of copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping.

· Duties could include setting grease traps, decontamination tanks, oil interceptors, lint interceptors, utility hookups, etc.

· Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed

· Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications

· 1-5 years of commercial plumbing experience depending on level (Apprentice, Journeyman, Master).

· Valid / current plumbing license

· Medical Gas Certification, or ability to obtain, preferred

· Experience leading / coaching an apprentice and/or helper if Journeyman or above

· OSHA 10 hour preferred

· Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed

Sheet Metal Mechanic

Position Summary

As a sheet metal mechanic, you will work with the mechanical team to fabricate, assemble and install mechanical systems on various commercial construction sites.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Install a variety of HVAC materials including but not limited to: round pipe/spiral duct, flex duct, motorized dampers, fire dampers, splitter dampers, air devices, louvers and air moving equipment

· Install duct work and sheet metal assemblies on work site according to blueprints and specifications.

· Fabricate or alter parts using shears, hammers, punches, snips, drills, brakes, and bending rollers along with other handheld and power tools

· Install support hangers, make duct connection using clips, drives, nuts, bolts, TDC tape, sealer, sheet metal screws, etc. as needed

· Install manual dampers, supporting hardware, etc., make final connections to equipment

· Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces, seams and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools

· Fasten seams and joints with bolts, cement, rivets, caulk, clips, etc.

· Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, rivets and install spin-in, peel and stick, or airtight duct taps, connect to branch duct

· Able to work from ladders, manlifts and other equipment at various heights

· Operate man lift, personal lift, chain hoist, duct jack

· Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications

· 3 years of experience working within the HVAC / mechanical trade installing systems on commercial and / or industrial construction sites

· Valid / current journeyman license

· Experience with tools including but not limited to shears, brakes, bending rolls, punch, drill press, snips and other hand and power tools

· Experience leading / coaching an apprentice and/or helper

· OSHA 10-hour preferred

· Ability to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights.

Additional Requirements

· Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.

· Analytical and problem-solving skills

· Complies and promotes company Safety Policy

· Must be able to work independently with and without supervision.

· Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.

· Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials

· Ability to pass a drug screening

· Ability to pass a physical ability test

· Ability to travel, as needed, for projects

Experienced Pipe Fitter and Helper

Depending on experience:

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints

· Experience Brazing and purging with nitrogen

· Soft soldering experience

· Pro-Press

· Installation of pipe hangers

· Installation, work with water chillers and hot water systems

· Use Threading machines

· Condenser/ water systems

· Experience using a cutting torch

· OSHA 10 trained (preferred)

· Has tools needed to perform job function

· Strong commitment to safety.
