Summary
Helper/Poly Fabricator reports to the Equipment/Poly Division of Siddons-Martin Emergency Group. This division enhances the purchase of a Pierce Fire Apparatus by providing firefighting equipment and custom poly fabricated consoles, brackets and tool mounts to optimize fire apparatus safety and functionality.
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibility includes, but is not limited to, a dedication to the companys mission statement, to company profitability and 100% customer satisfaction.
Fabricate High-density polyethylene (HDPE) into customized items
Operate Computer numerical control (CNC) machine
Attending to the needs of the customer whenever required.
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be able to follow directions
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Must be dependable.
Must have the ability to work independently or with less supervision
Should have excellent verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work under pressure
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Clean driving record with Class C driver license.
Knowledge of firefighting tools/equipment preferred
Class B non-exempt CDL driver license preferred
