Pay: $16-$18.00/hr. DOE

Shifts Available:

M-F 6:00AM-5:00PM & M-F 5:00PM-1:00AM

Full Time: Temp to Perm

Job Functions

  • Performs tack-up and welding of carbon and stainless steel piece parts, subassemblies, and assemblies utilizing GMAW and FCAW weld processes in accordance with engineering drawings and written/verbal instructions.
  • Performs weld joint preparation and post-weld clean-up per instructions as above
  • Assists in the assembly and in-plant erection of systems in production.
  • Performs thermal cutting of carbon and stainless steel materials by oxy-acetylene and plasma processes in accordance with engineering drawings and written/verbal instructions.
  • The welder is responsible for the dimensional, structural, visual, and cosmetic quality of work performed before and after the physical welding or cutting has taken place, and will inspect such work in accordance with provided standards.
  • Inspects and documents quality of work in accordance with provided standards
  • Fills out documentation for material usages and work status
  • Performs other duties as directed by supervision
  • Must be capable of competent use of the following job-related equipment:
  • Air and electric disc and belt grinders
  • Air and electric drills, saw, nailer
  • Magnetic drill press
  • Hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, scrapers, hammers, tape measure, chisels, punches, pliers, wire cutters, etc.Portable hydraulic jacks, pullers, and punches, impact wrenches Clamps and wedges Plate beveller.
