Production Associate – Stub Welder

The primary duties are :

• operate the stub welder
• strap and band material
• operate a forklift
• read shop drawings and lay out dimensions on steel
• cut structural steel with bandsaw
• operate an ironworker punching holes and sheering steel
• operate a magnetic drill and drill press
• keep area clean

Job Requirements:

• follow all safety rules
• team player
• ability to work outside and in a non-airconditioned/heated shop
• ability to read a tape measurer
• ability to perform simple calculations
• ability to layout dimensions on steel
• ability to lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds
• operate a forklift
• operate industrial machinery in a safe manner (bandsaw, iron worker and drill)
• willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• willingness to work overtime hours as needed (sometimes on a regular basis)
• self-motivated
