Overview

Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in production management, specifically in metal fabrication and wood working. The candidate must be able to motivate employees, meet customer’s deadlines and have experience reading and understanding shop drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily production operations of the metal fabrication and wood working departments.
  • Ensure that production schedules are met and deadlines are achieved.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that production processes are efficient and effective.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of employees and provide training and development opportunities as needed.
  • Ensure that safety protocols are followed and that a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Oversee the quality control process to ensure that all products meet our high standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that customer needs are met.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, specifically in metal fabrication and wood working.

Proven ability to motivate employees and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read and understand shop drawings and have a general metal fabrication background.

Experience with production planning and scheduling.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.

Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Previous hands on experience.
