SeedMaster is currently seeking an innovative, results oriented Manufacturing Shop Supervisor.
You will lead a team of highly driven staff on the weld line, paint line and metals department. You play an important role in hiring, motivating, and training employees. You are responsible for monitoring work activity, ordering supplies and/or equipment, and enforcing policies and procedures. You must be able to work cooperatively with production planning to resolve any issues occuring during manufacturing.
What will you be working on?
- Oversee the weld, paint and metals departments including organizing all work and personnel while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor the production of items in accordance with the relevant engineering drawings and specifications.
- Successfully lay out jobs on the manufacturing shop floor ensuring ultimate efficiency
- Openly and frequently communicate with the Production Manager ensuring all needs are addressed in a timely fashion
- Thoroughly inspect the entire manufacturing process ensuring quality, finished equipment is delivered to our customers
What is required for this role?
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems is required
- Ability to successfully collaborate with engineers, shop personnel, and management
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and lead by example when faced with ongoing and constant changes
- Proven track record of being self motivated, working with minimal supervision and leading and partnering with diverse team members is required
- Ability to handle mulitple priorities efficiently, retains a sense of urgency and meet strick timelines is required
