PRODUCTION WELDERS – Day & Evening Shifts
Kent Metal Products Ltd. is a local manufacturer of custom sheet metal products that has been in business for over 50 years. Working from our centrally located Vancouver, BC factory we fabricate our customer’s required products with services that include laser cutting, shearing, forming, punching and welding.
We currently have openings for full-time Production Welders to work on our day shift and evening shift in our Vancouver, BC metal fabrication facility (located near South West Marine Drive and Manitoba Street). Work hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00pm or 3:00 pm to 11:30pm – Monday to Friday.
Duties will include set-up and use of welding equipment (primarily MIG/GMAW), following drawings and welding specifications and determining basic fabrication requirements, maintaining jigs for quality control, and finishing/grinding of welds where required. Additional duties may include working on other fabrication equipment from time to time to produce parts for welding.
This is a production position that will involve continuous tacking or welding of similar pieces throughout the shift.

Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications:
2+ years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience, or welding program graduate.
Must be able to work in a team & individually, with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift 40 – 50lbs.

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
