POSITION OVERVIEW:
dormakaba is seeking a Projection Welder to join our team in Mesquite, TX. This position will be responsible for setting up, operating, and performing simple programming to a machine.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Setting up brake press and other bending equipment to bend, notch, punch, form or straighten the frame parts
Prepareing, loading, and unloading material for operation
Verifying width, length, and angles of metal
Reading and understanding work orders and/or drawings to produce required parts for finished products
Performing precision bending to flat piece of sheet metal into fully formed frame
Inspecting parts for defects after being formed and act if needed
Upholding all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above
Helping train and/or assisting others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures
Responsible for making equipment adjustments
Reporting production and quality data
Ensureing operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
1-3 years of experience
Previous manufacturing experience, preferred
Must be able to check parts for quality to make sure there are no defects
Must be able to determine whether parts meet specifications
Ability to work well independently and/or in a team
