Description

Flint Hills Resources is looking to add a Welder to their team at their refinery located in Corpus Christi, TX. This individual will be a member of the general maintenance team.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Provide high value welding capability within the maintenance group, and throughout the refinery

Support pipe fabrication and field installs for Value Creation, Expense, Capital, PE, T/A and Mechanical Integrity projects

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:
2 years of pipe welding in a refinery or fabrication shop setting

Welding certification qualifications which include SMAW, and GTAW

Valid Driver’s License

High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to participate on the after-hours, on-call, or rotation schedule

Ability to climb a minimum of 75 feet

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

Ability to apply a pushing and pulling force in excess of 50 lbs

Ability to work in high, precarious places

Ability to work in confined spaces

Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions

What Will Put You Ahead

Ability to read P&ID’s, Iso’s, etc.

NCCER certification or equivalent for Pipefitting, and/or Welding

Boilermaker experience
