As a Quality Control Inspector/Quality Control Analyst, you are responsible for ensuring products meet the company’s production standards. The duties include monitoring fabrication operations, testing products for flaws, and reporting defects using prints, measuring tools, and inspection procedures. A Quality Inspector will also complete assigned daily process audits and record findings on appropriate documentation including identifying whether products are functional, reliable and meet the end user’s expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting completed products, compare to requirements and measure/document dimensional results to ensure that they meet quality standards
  • Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectation
  • Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product’s efficiency
  • Direct assembly adjustments to ensure operations reflect quality standards
  • Ensure products meet customer expectations and requirements based on company objectives
  • Fostering and promoting a culture of quality, performance improvement and continuous improvement
  • Participate in root-cause analysis, corrective actions and follow-up
  • Write reports to document deficiencies and errors of products
  • Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions
  • Follow all health and safety procedures
  • Identifying hazards or potential hazards
  • Other job duties as required

Requirements and Skills

  • Degree in a related Quality Control Inspector/Quality Control Analyst field would be an asset
  • Proven experience as a quality control inspector in the same industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of blue print reading, metal fabrication and welding would be an asset
  • Proficient in computer word processing and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to interpret customers prints, technical specifications and quality assurance standards
  • Strong organization and decision-making skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
  • Strong multitasking skills to transition between jobs without compromising quality standards
  • Ability to understand and follow a variety of guidelines and work procedures
  • Basic mathematical arithmetic
  • Excellent presentation, communication, reporting and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player who can work efficiently to facilitate and resolve issues with minimal supervision

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
