What we’ll love about you:
· Proven experience as a Quality Assurance & Control Manager or relevant role
· Minimum level-3 certified welding inspector from the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB)
· Experience in a structural steel fabrication environment is an asset
· Understanding and experience working with GD&T specifications
· Hands on experience in methodologies of quality assurance and standards, as well as quality management systems
· Ability to read welding symbols, diagrams and blueprints
· Current with the latest laws and regulations that impact products
· Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
· A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
· Must be safety conscious and adhere to all safety processes and policies
What you’ll work on:
As Steelcon’s Quality champion, the Quality Assurance & Control Manager will build quality programs and will work with their team to create and enforce quality policies, standards, and procedures for the company.
The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential.
Skills and experience in:
problem-solving, data analysis, managing product testing, identifying gaps in the testing, staying current on laws and regulations to ensure compliance, quality reports and documentation, collecting and analyzing quality assurance data, critical thinking skills, interpersonal and communication skills, technical skills and comfort with databases and report generation software, leadership and training skills
