We are currently in search of an entry-level QC Welding Inspector to join us at our facility on Annacis Island in Delta, B.C.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Your primary responsibility is to ensure fabrication activities are completed in accordance with client specifications, government regulations, and codes of construction. Highlights of job duties include:

  • Observe work before, during and after welding to verify conformance with the construction Code and customer specifications
  • Perform routine inspections on pressure piping and structural components, with assistance from time to time
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease rework, and streamline work processes
  • Participate in internal audits
  • Compile required documents for turnover of final document package

Here’s what we’re seeking in the successful candidate:

  • A good understanding of quality inspection procedures, tools and equipment
  • CSA 178.2 CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector certification would be considered an asset
  • Strict compliance with our HSE program
  • Experience in visual inspection
  • Experience with ASME and/or CSA construction Codes would be considered an asset
  • Experience working with MTR’s and NDE reports would be considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills. A positive and team-oriented approach to work. Dependable and trustworthy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
