Responsibilities:
Construct Prototype components through fabrication, welding (with or without jigs), and assembling.
To adhere to all quality control procedures and detect defects in all parts being constructed
Manufacture and assemble prototypes in cooperation with engineering.
Work with, develop and facilitate testing of developed components and prototypes.
Qualifications:
Welding and fabrication experience – both for new fabrication and repair
Thorough working knowledge of blueprint interpretation, the operation of all measuring equipment (tape measure, square, calliper, protractor and level), and Front End equipment such as press, saw, drills, belt grinder, etc.
Creative mind and ability to think beyond just the fabrication of the part, but also the intent of the part and how it would fit into the production environment
Experience with hydraulics and electrical assembly an asset
Demonstrate good initiative, organizational skills, positive attitude and teamwork
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Highly motivated and able to prioritize
Ability to travel to prototype machines for repair and updates
Knowledge of farming is an asset
Travel as required to support prototypes working in the field.
