Overview
Responsibilities:
Operate previously set up welding machines such as spot, butt and seam resistance or gas and arc welding machines too fabricate or repair metal parts
Welding repairs on various mining equipment (Mobile and fixed equipment)
Fabricate and/or repair various components according to specified specs (SAS doors, headers, racks, etc..)
Paint all repaired or fabricated parts completed by welders
Follow company policy and procedures when repairing equipment.
Ability to read plans and various working procedures.
Assist mechanic as required and perform other duties as assigned.
Open work-orders, find parts and complete parts list in work-orders using all available resources.
All other duties as assigned

Safety and Sustainability Expectations:
Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
Employee must always work safe and be proactive towards safety issues regarding themselves or other co-workers
Employee must report all safety related concerns to the supervisor
The worker must have the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in cramped or awkward positions, lift objects of various shapes up to 75lbs.
