Job Overview: As a Red Seal Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various piping systems. You will work in different settings, including industrial, commercial, and residential locations. Your primary duties will include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting pipes, welding and brazing pipes, and installing and testing piping systems. You will work closely with other members of the installation and maintenance team to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute piping installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Cut, thread, bend, and install pipes using various hand and power tools.
Weld and braze pipes using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Install and maintain various types of piping systems, including water, gas, steam, and air.
Inspect and test piping systems to ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
Collaborate with other team members, including project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople, to ensure timely project completion.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including material used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times and promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
H2S Alive, Confined Space, First Aid , Fall arrest, CSO, CSTS,
Red Seal certification in Pipe Fitting.
At least 3 years of experience in industrial, commercial, or residential pipe fitting.
Proficient in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Skilled in measuring, cutting, welding, and brazing pipes.
Knowledgeable in various types of piping systems, including water, gas, steam, and air.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy objects.
Availability to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as needed.
