What We Need:
We are seeking a fulltime member to join our Repair team! If you are a person that loves challenging the status quo, strives for continuous improvement and thrives in a collaborative environment in bringing solid results together, then we’d love to hear from you!
The Repair and Welding Technician is responsible for testing, evaluating, repairing, and welding a variety of McCoy Global and third-party products. The Repair and Welding Technician will work alongside the Sales and Service team to secure and grow repair revenue for McCoy Global.
What you’ll bring:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of related industry experience preferred
Previous technical or specialized training an asset
Comprehensive knowledge in mechanics and welding
Experience with operating a manual mill is considered an asset
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
What you’ll do:
Perform evaluations, calibrate, and complete required assembly of repair and new units.
Troubleshoot electronic load sensors and systems and recommend course of action to repair McCoy Global and third-party products.
Ability to work with engineering and find solutions to repair third-party products.
Fill out detailed reports in Epicor and keep records on services that have been performed.
Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs.
Escalate serious and repetitive issues when necessary.
Perform calibrations on most systems while recording and maintaining all calibration and service records.
Weld a variety of product and assemblies consisting of various compositions, primarily stainless steel, in addition to welding various metal thicknesses using the TIG welding process (AKA gas tungsten arc welding)
Perform tack welds, fusion welds as well as the use of filler rods
Performs other related duties as assigned.
