Position Title: Repairman – Pipefitter
Team and Location: Maintenance – Burnaby, BC
Position Summary:
Working in the Refinery Maintenance Department as part of the Metals Team, the role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, lay out, assembly and fabrication of piping systems, pressure vessels and exchangers.
Key Responsibilities:
Layout and fabrication of refinery piping systems
Maintenance and repair of existing piping systems
Maintenance of heat exchangers, pressure vessels and related auxiliary systems
Trouble shooting refinery equipment as related to welding and pipefitter trades
Fabrication & Installation of Temporary Leak Repairs
Hydro Testing of piping systems & vessels
Qualifications and Skills:
The successful candidate embraces positive change and is committed to help further advance our safety and reliability culture at the refinery.
The successful candidate must hold a Pipefitter/Steamfitter BCTQ (British Columbia Trade Qualification) IP/Red Seal
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar position post apprenticeship completion
Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5 Minimum).
Experience working in the Petrochemical Industry is preferred.
A working knowledge of CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are an expectation of this position.
