Position Requires Weekend Work and Evenings. There are no set hours so would need to be available to work into evening.
——– Welder/Repairman Job Description———–
- Responsible for repairs and welding as required for the repairing of Railcars per FRA/AAR specifications.
- Responsible for welding repairs in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
- Responsible for operating and maintaining various hand, electronic, and air powered tools.
Job Experience Requirements:
- Knowledge of Acetylene torch and stick Welding.
- Knowledge of torching and fabricating.
- Basic knowledge of tooling used in a mechanical shop environment.
- The ability to operate various hand, electric, and air powered tools.
- Knowledge of tools and their application to the task at hand.
- Ability to adhere the rules and regulations of a mechanical shop environment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs overhead.
- The ability to work independently to complete a task as assigned.
Special certification or unique skills required
- Welding Certification is a plus but not required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
