POINT COMFORT – Port Lavaca, TX
Installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery used in oil drilling operations
Operating computerized welding equipment, including arc welders and plasma cutters
Performing other duties as requested by supervisor, such as cleaning work sites or keeping shop records
Reading blueprints and other drawings to determine the best approach to completing a welding job
Welding steel plates, pipes, and other materials together to form structures such as storage tanks or bridges
Installing and repairing pipelines for oil or natural gas companies
Inspecting welds after they have been completed to ensure that they meet industry standards for quality
Welding structural components of ships and other large objects, such as boilers or oil platforms
Operating welding machines that use a variety of welding processes, such as gas or arc welding
Welder Certification
Valid TWIC
3-5 Years of experience
Must pass background check and drug screening.
